Management getting from bad to worse. New hired tellers getting paid much more than existing staff. Slow progression for ops unless u know how to bootlick. Constant change of structure and management.

Collaborative place

Very collaborative environment and people are very willing to help/teach you. However, a large part of your growth in the company will be dependent on how much your boss is willing to fight for you and which business line you are in.

Productive and Good place to learn

A typical day would be morning meetings and discussions on the current job scope, what needs to be done, whats needs to be achieved. I have learned to interact well with customers, the Banks Products , People and using their systems. Management has clear directions what needs to be achieved and it is communicated to us. Fair and problem solving skills. Workplace culture is fair and many people are approachable and coaching is available if needed. Hardest part of the Job would be sometimes we need to get information from client, they are either busy or not able to be in contact. Best part of the job is the learning and experience with customers and colleagues.

Great for learning
Great for learning as high working standards. However, very slow growth prospects. Modelling team really does very high quality of work. And in singapore, there is no team as good as this particular team. The promotions and growth prospects are very slow.

Bosses practice favouritism, trying to get rid of matured staffs, micro management, always make use of our lunch time to do training (working lunch).

Used to be a fairly good place to work until a recent MD came along and created a competitive and toxic culture.
Used to be a fairly good place to work until a recent MD came along and created a competitive and toxic culture. Hence alot of attrition follows and I lost all my friends in the department. Good mobility across departments.
Pros
Good hybrid/flexible arrangement in the long term, Stable environment.
Cons
Poor career progression, HR has all kinds of excuses not to increase your pay or bonus, organisation is huge and complex.

I have worked at a few international banks, my experience here was the worst.

so many silos management don't work together they do not value staff at all terrible application of desk sharing cost cut culture worst coordination of HR tools - very difficult to even get to talk to anyone if you were to apply online with them

One of the best Banks to work in SG
Pros - work life balance in most teams - opportunities to explore roles due to large presence in SG - most decisions made in SG, so hardly any problems related to extended day to have meetings in UK/US time zone - generous annual leave policy, flexi work policy Cons - huge organization therefore typical challenges - difficult to move up ladder, slow decisions due to multiple stakeholders involved in everything
