Good working environment with good remuneration but with lack of stability

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Good diverse working groups but offshoring is common place in this bank. Remuneration is good with generous bonus payout. However, there is a lot of restructuring and offshoring ongoing which can be worrisome sometimes

Good place to gain experience in international bank

Hybrid work arrangement, working with colleagues in different geographies. Team camaraderie is somewhat lacking due to got hot desking arrangement. Colleagues do try to offer guidance when in doubt but independence is also required as each staff is busy with their tasks. Benefits are better than local banks, and compensation is not bad. Due to dealing in different regions, good place to gain experience in international banking.

Good place to work in but feel silo-ed at some point

Good place to work in - silo - ed at some point . The staff are good. Colleagues are good too. Flexible working hours. Option to work remotely if no in person meetings.

Collaborative place

Very collaborative environment and people are very willing to help/teach you. However, a large part of your growth in the company will be dependent on how much your boss is willing to fight for you and which business line you are in.

Pros

Collaborative, helpful colleagues, good benefits

Cons

Longer hours, promotion can be difficult depending on your business line

Used to be a fairly good place to work until a recent MD came along and created a competitive and toxic culture.

Used to be a fairly good place to work until a recent MD came along and created a competitive and toxic culture. Hence alot of attrition follows and I lost all my friends in the department.Good mobility across departments.

Pros

Good hybrid/flexible arrangement in the long term, Stable environment.

Cons

Poor career progression, HR has all kinds of excuses not to increase your pay or bonus, organisation is huge and complex.

Very good staff benefits. Work life balance. However, the company is very big with many departments. And sometimes it takes a fairly long time to locate the right department to solve an issue.

Pros

Good staff benefits

Cons

work culture can be improved

Solid Place to Work, Important Decisions Slow to Come

Worked for more than two years in the IT department. There are a few very competent people among a wider staff of people who seem to just show up for a paycheck. Few people will risk making decisions.

Pros

Good salary, work hours and benefits

Cons

Dead-weight colleagues, office politics, slow decisions
