Standard Chartered Bank Employee Review

Good working environment with good remuneration but with lack of stability

Good diverse working groups but offshoring is common place in this bank. Remuneration is good with generous bonus payout. However, there is a lot of restructuring and offshoring ongoing which can be worrisome sometimes

A good company to work for, but the people may be too political to deal with

The company does not reward people for their loyalty to the Bank. Internal fights are going on all the time and people who stay are not rewarded. But it is still an international bank so good to have it on your resume. Management tends to be transient and they stay for a few years, reap what they came for, and leave.

Good brand name

Lack of diversity

Nothing to say much. Management could be more friendly and be flexible with staff. Company lacks diversity of staff. Internal movements within teams or units are difficult

too much politics

too much politics; hardwork alone wont l et you survive here. disappointed in bosses' promises when most of them are not achieved and forgotten after a while.
