Working at Starbucks was both challenging and fulfilling. They provided adequate training and qualifications and a nurturing attitude towards training. The culture was friendly and more often than not we see individuals both customers and employees with a smile on their face.

It does not really matter if its your first time working or not. Starbucks is a company where you feel like you belong. I was a shy person when I started my first day at Starbucks, but slowly, i feel very comfortable with every person I’ve worked with. They seem like a family. Working may be tiring and can make you stressed out once in a while. However, my experience working in Starbucks had made it an fun and enjoyable environment to work in.

- Worked in various stores and the team in each store is equally energetic, fun and outgoing.
- Managers and supervisors are constantly looking out for the team
- Teamwork and speed is vital in Starbucks. However, quality is never to be compromised.
- Hardest part about the job is dealing with customers who are very particular
- The most enjoyable part of the job is communicating with the customers and having a team who ensures everyone is having a good time during their shifts.
Learnt alot of new things, a typical day at work would be prepping coffee for next day's cold brew, preparing customer's drinks order, topping up food, collecting cups and plates, washing them, sweep and mop the floor
A typical day at starbucks is extremely busy, due to the fact its one of the ones at the airport.. i have learned a lot of different ways of making coffee drinks. the hardest part of working at starbucks is the fact that you work at the airport so things are not quite like the outside starbucks.
To inspire and nurture the human spirit- one person, one cup and one neighbourhood at a time. for demonstrating a green apron behavior and worked within the brilliant basic philosophies: keeping it smile providing excellent customer service.
Part time (Current Employee) - Raffles - October 7, 2018
Learning on how to draw on shots of espresso. Able to be learning on how to pair food with coffee, By tasting the coffee or tea, I am able to explain to customer why would i recommend coffee or tea to some of my customer.
It was an enjoyable daily learning journey from partners and customers.
The work culture, ethics and teamwork are evident across departments, the coffee culture is infectious as well.
The best part of the job is to have regular coffee break legitimately!

Everyday is learning experience. Different working ethics from each and one of your colleagues. Starbucks is known for their friendly barista. While in Starbucks, I've learn about good customer service. It is not just about preparing food and beverage, its about connecting to the customers and leaving good impressions before they leave the store.
I am glad to be able to gain my first working experience with Starbucks. The people i worked with have been very helpful in making me confident and brave to try new things. Especially in interacting with the customers and making the drinks. Not to forget, they have been very understanding in my commitments in school and others whenever i can't commit to work that much. If ever got the chance, i would love to be at service again.
A typical day at work is entirely dependent on the location of the store. Stores located in typically busy locations (e.g. shopping malls, community centers, CBD area) will face a more constant up-time than downtime.
While not impossible, work-life balance can be difficult due to the nature of shift work as well as various other circumstances. Stress management is extremely vital for this career.
Opportunities to advance your career at any point are plenty. There are also plenty of chances to connect with customers over coffee allowing you to form lasting bonds with them. At the same time, interactions with customers can be just as challenging where a level head and a strong grasp on conflict management will be advantageous.
