its fine but very slow growth

Intern Diffusion Process Engineer (Former Employee) - Ang Mo Kio - May 5, 2022

interned there for 3 months. Pros: questions asked are usually answered. since its a completely new industry, theres a lot to learn abt the fabcons: as an intern, not much work would be given to you so going to the office is quite mundane. during covid, its a must to be in the office (in case they need you in the fab) but literally didnt go into the operational line like 90% of the time. so there wasnt much covid restrictions and HR wasnt rly helpful and sometimes angsty for no apparent reason

Training is centralized and not catered for the immediate job role. Lean workforce makes it difficult to consult colleagues for learning since job scope is different and senior colleagues will be busy

Managed and supported by Semicon Wafer fab professionals that are very generous in terms of knowledge and information sharing to younger generations to learn and execute to achieve one common goal for the company. I strongly recommend STMicroelectronics as a good foundation for new comers in Semicon Industry.

Everyone is friendly in STM and we are not particular about the time you clock in and out, that's probably because most of us needs to have night conference call with europe. Situated just beside the does not really mean that location is easily accessible, especially with the morning and evening traffic conditions.
