Ideal PT Job
Part-Time Senior Retail Team Member (Former Employee) - Plaza Singapura - September 25, 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedHad a blast working under COG’s Body (all girls associates) while finishing my degree. Managed to be a senior staff in 4 months and had a significant increase in pay. May be a repetitive job but also exposes you to different type of customers.

Fun
Part Time Retail Assistant (Former Employee) - West Singapore - August 21, 2023
Working at Cotton On as a part-timer was a great experience. I got to meet and work with a lot of fun and interesting people, and the job itself was always challenging and rewarding. The atmosphere was always friendly and the team was always willing to help each other out. I learned a lot about customer service and retail operations and it gave me a great insight into how a store operates. It was an amazing experience that I'm sure I'll never forget.

Great place to work
Retail Sales Assistant (Former Employee) - Singapore - March 27, 2023
A typical day at work consists of running daily replenishments, serving customers, working towards hitting KPIs and ensure operations are up to expectations. I've learned various operation skills such as running the store and managing the part-timers roles and duties for the day. Management can be improved and be more understanding to sales floor team as daily target sales might not be possible to hit everyday. Workplace culture really depends on the team you're working with. Based on my experience, I had one of the best managers and was well led with the rest of the team. Team was considerate of each other's work ethic and communication is always taken seriously. Hardest part of the job was probably handling rude customers. It was heavily customer centric - basically always giving in to customers despite having SOPs to follow. Most enjoyable part of the job was definitely the people you work with. If team was led by a good manager, team is able to thrive and drive success together.

Fun workplace
Senior Retail Associate (Former Employee) - Singapore - March 2, 2023
it’s a great place to work if you have a good and reliable manager , the work load in general is doable and there really isn’t much stress, however it’s important to achieve those KPIs

Fun, but stressful
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - singapore - February 14, 2023
Overall fun experience working with fellow teenagers and young team. Few drawbacks when managers tend to show face when bosses come to monitor and check the store. Just have to be nice to your full timers and always learn to pick up a new skill every day. Gets easier but can be tiring when tasked to help in visual merchandising. be nice to everyone and do your job, everyone will like you.

Fun Workplace, but management needs to improve
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Singapore - November 5, 2022
The team is full of young people who are students, easy to make friends, fun culture. This job is fast-paced. Management can be quite rude at times and micro-manage too much

It was a fun place to work at with most colleagues being around my age.
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Jurong East - October 24, 2022
Cotton On has flexible work hours so I am still able to go for my shifts even if it was during a school semester. Management was meh but my colleagues were definitely fun to work with despite facing difficult customers at times.

Manager is terrible but working is otherwise okay
Retail Assistant (Part-Time) (Former Employee) - Orchard - October 19, 2022
Manager likes to assign part timers to work on the weekends, where it is the busiest, and rarely works on the weekends. Manager is terrible and has high standards but working is otherwise okay

fun but managers can be a little demanding sometimes.
Retail Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Sembawang - May 10, 2022
The salary is not worth it as there is so much workload. However, some managers can be really nice and helpful while some can be really demanding and biased towards your other colleague.

Excellent co workers but Management dept can be improved
Sales Assistant (Former Employee) - Singapore - April 13, 2022
Depending on which stores you posted at work can be seemingly fun. But management wise and work culture can be improved. The only perks is their staff discount other than that not much.

Slow progression
Retail Supervisor (Former Employee) - Singapore - March 15, 2022
Poor management leading to many of the staff resigning. Overworking(too many workload for 1 staff) and underpaying current staff. Can take minimum 3 years to get promoted.
Pros
50% discount
Cons
Too many workload

fun but not worth
Full Time Sales Associate (Former Employee) - NEX - March 9, 2022
it was okay working there with cotton on it's just that as a full timer we don't get paid a lot? it was about 1.2k for 36 hours or smth which doesn't make sense.
Pros
fun, casual outfit, easy to learn
Cons
low pay, tired because it's crazy with customer

fun workplace if you talk to your coworkers, but some can be toxic. they will pick out all the negative actions you have done and gossip about it.
Retail Assistant (Part-Time) (Former Employee) - NEX - March 1, 2022
management is poor, and if they cannot make enough sales, they will cut your shifts. need to keep clearing the queue if you're the solo cashier, if you cannot handle, supervisor will judge you and complain.

Multicultural working environment
Assistant Store Manager (CoBrand) (Former Employee) - Singapore - February 4, 2022
I learned a lot while working in Cotton On. They have quarterly reviews on all store operations employees. It allows management to address performance issues quickly, work out a plan to help the employee improve and check in on a more regular basis to ensure that performance is, in fact, improving.
Pros
Annual gathering

It is decent.
Part Time Retail Assistant (Former Employee) - Singapore - November 10, 2021
It really depends on the management, the first few managers were fine at first (understanding and flexible schedules) but afterwards it started to get really hectic. you'll also get 'thrown' to far away outlets to help out in case they lack of manpower (those cotton on staffs frm other outlets aren't so friendly). you'll also be pressured and pushed to sell WAP (the items hanged on the wall behind the cashier), and if you do not sell enough, the higher ups will question you. and they'll also ask you to start ur shift earlier (they'll only inform u abt it on the day itself).
Pros
50% staff benefit
Cons
management and can be quite stressful
