Slow career path
Scientist (Current Employee) - Singapore - August 22, 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedIt takes very long to grow within the company. Good colleagues. Poor higher management - buy to expand, no value close down......lack of innovation internally.

Nice people but disappointing compensation and management
Analyst (Current Employee) - Singapore - March 31, 2023
I work in a great team and people from other functions are generally nice. However, most people / teams work in silos so it’s hard to get information without going through many hoops. HR is basically deaf to feedback despite us highlighting about below market compensation and benefits. For example, we provide feedback / ask important questions but management at both global and local level just give very vague answers to divert topic or simply say they will not address benefits questions at those forums. They dont follow up despite saying they would. Unless you are in a high ranking position who’s comfortable where you are, you are probably better off elsewhere.

No work balance and management is biased
Analyst (Current Employee) - Singapore - February 22, 2023
There is very little work life balance, high high high turnover, little diversity, and hard to advance. Management is slow in making decision, biased and lip service only. Toxic culture!

Good benefits, but pay is low
R&D Engineer (Current Employee) - Marsiling - February 19, 2023
Good benefits, good culture. However, pay is below market rate, slow career progression, alot of secondary appointments. Company may have expanded too quickly

Horrible & consists of group bullying
Assistant Engineer (Former Employee) - Woodlands - January 10, 2023
It was a horrible experience. It was during the COVID period, they were hiring due to shortage of staff. There was not any proper jobscope given, staff glaring at one another, attitude problems due to just ignoring a person only. While I was there, there wasn't an ounce of privacy, they dug out every piece of your past & previous employment history to make fun of you, disrupt you during work, & put you down verbally. They cannot draw the line between work & personal, always insisting people share work & life stories, as though work people are even friends. Poor salary for the amount of clerical work given. The data told to retrieve from so many different various sources was a complete mess.
Pros
Not necessary free lunches (provided on company expenses anyway)
Cons
Long hours, even told to work overtime (cutting into my personal life, no promotion)

Easygoing work environment
Manufacturing Engineering Intern (Former Employee) - 33 Marsiling Industrial Estate Rd - January 5, 2023
Easygoing work environment for interns. Free lunch every quarter and snacks occasionally for the employees. However, not many projects are assigned to interns

Gym and endless free buffet from the company event and trainings
Marketing Specialist I (Former Employee) - Marsiling - November 28, 2022
They are very strong in internal trainings. Quite often, they will send you some interesting work related courses from their own Thermo Fisher University for you to register if you're interested to attend!
Pros
Good benefits, helpful colleagues, respectful colleagues
Cons
Most of the roles have no backup. No matter if you're on leave or away or mc, you still have to deal with your work.

Worth a shot for those new in the industry
Customer Care Representative (Current Employee) - Singapore - October 20, 2022
work life balance is solely up to individual. bosses can be understanding depending on which division you are in. I liked my team a lot, but the cross functional teams i deal with can be a huge pain. Always get free meals and benefits are ok ...however pay increment is non-negotiable

No work life
Manufacturing Technician (Former Employee) - Woodlands - June 17, 2022
Worked here as a contract staff. Have to do OT almost everyday. Salary is low compared to other companies in the same industry. Production is always too high.

Productive
I think it was a pretty calm environment when I was not working on projects. However the working hours may be long as you need to stay back to handle some projects after working hours.
Pros
Free food in pantry
Cons
Long hours

Complicated Environment
Engineer (Former Employee) - Singapore - December 5, 2021
Complicated environment, from lack of integration and standardization, sometimes can have 'messy' issues. There is alot of politics and you have to know how to navigate through it. Lack of learning culture, local culture very strong, fall in line and do not ever offend people. Lots of silo working and there isnt a cohesive culture or company identity. Some are in retirement mode.
Pros
Pantry with drinks, Quarterly Bonus
Cons
Complicated organizational structure, dirty and small toilets

Safe working area, can be stressful at time, air conditioned
Manufacuring Engineering Technician (Current Employee) - Singapore - August 6, 2021
Pro: People are nice and friendly, they're willing to teach. Management can be improve, some line are a bit messy due to high daily production output. the most enjoyable part of the job is troubleshooting failed instrument. Con: can be boring due to keep doing the same thing everyday. Salary is at the lower side, incremental rate is terrible, best is 4% incremental per year, unless promoted.
Pros
Free snack, lunch occasionally, Drinks are free everyday
Cons
Short lunch break, no canteen.
