Not bad overall. No toxic environment, management is okay. Good staff benefits and good pay. Office abit grey though, but overall the worklife balance and people are okay.

Good brand name

Look good on the outside but suck on the inside. Constant restructuring, management cant seem to make up their on what they want. Cowboy bankers, think highly of themselves

Great culture and management with differentiated strategy. Top wealth management. Nice building and amenities. Good starting base. Fixed bonus for juniors

Long hours, nice office

Long hours, nice office, standard large bank bureaucracy and highly stressful work environment. Would be nice to have more work life balance. No flex on WFH or hours.

Good working culture .

Need to focus more on business than technology. Not much stressful environment .once you get business kind of chill going work. Business understanding plays a major role.

Regular events organised for staff

Pro: Company regularly organises events and stuff for us, people are generally niceCon: Contract staff don't get benefits no matter how long you work there

Stressful working environment

Rigit policy, inflexible practice and lots of red tape. Very bureaucratic, management don’t care about your stressfulness, unachievable targets. Work process too much of segregation, at the end we can’t see the end to end process. Management expects us to work late, expect us to put in extra hour. So we have no choice but to work on our week end. No life.

Good culture and work life balance

Good work life balance, with decent insurance coverage and other non monetary benefits.Culture is good, people are mostly helpful, thought compensation seems to be on the lower side, and a lot of red tape

Stressful environment

Not a good place to work, too rigid, too much of job segregation, super high volume, team leader push very hard for figures, no work life balance, have to work even on week end.

Pros

Cons

No work life balance

Work Place with good culture and work life balance

I am working in UBS Singapore. It's an awesome place to work where you get visibility, respect and you feel happy working for UBS. Management is pretty much flat and you can access to top management easily. Over all I am completely satisfied working in UBS

Pros

There are so many

Cons

Hardly i find any

Pleasant culture but pay is the lowest among bulge bracket

9 to 6, but some days need to OT due to monthly BAUs which are quite normal across industries. Overall good systems / infrastructure - spending most of the time analyzing financial figures rather than exporting data. Good overall control. 3/5 days in office. Good, friendly and helpful culture.Harder to get promote and poor internal recognition as they would rather pay and 'promote' for those who joined from other companies with similar and comparable experiences. The axiom "job hopping for higher pay" is true for this company. For fresh graduates, best to go other places first to gain some experiences before joining for better pay.

Pros

Supports flexible working arrangement, good systems / infrastructure

Cons

Pay is lowest among bulge bracket, no bonus

Extremely intense and stressful jobs

Work segregation is too much. Eg instead of doing A-Z but over here we do only A, they added the volume which is sky high that we can’t cope. Every minute, every hour is a rushing day, there is no peak or non peak period of doing work, everyday, every fresh week is chasing for figures to get work done. From the start of the week, the manager will load you with 180% of workload volumes when we can only perform 100% of the workloads. That’s why we have to work very late even to midnight in order to reduce our work volume, even week end we have to do our work. There is no peace, even on our rest day..we still thinking of our workloads volume.Line manager treat us like machine operator or robot. Non appreciated. Bank wise is too bureaucratic, very digit, inflexible, non negotiable on policy set. IT wise is very advance, not a good work culture as colleagues are arrogant, non helpful. The Bank encourages all staff working from home.

A fun and good company to work for

I was with UBS for two years. Fast-paced but rewarding salary. Everyone is nice efficient and respectful. I would work there again if proper opportunity comes.

Engaging

A good place to learn and work with very smart people. You will always feel engaged. Work life balance is however an issue as there are late night calls and long work hours.

Good environment and salary but low internship conversion rates

Good working environment and decent salary, but low conversion rates for summer interns. Not the best place to go to if you are looking to convert to a full time role from an internship.

Challenging and happy work place

The work culture is very good, they assign what is needed and with minimum supervision we need to complete it. They global work force had given me opportunities to work with different nationalities. Excellent work place!!

Pros

Lot of dinners

Cons

Long hours, late night calls

Challenging and Highly Political

Work is easy however, you have the risk of people stealing or thumbing down your work, or both. It's a highly political work culture and very clique-ish. Management does not care how to are able to do your work, but if you are able to execute targets on time and what they need. You're at an advantage if you work in Switzerland.

Fast-paced and world leader in banking

Progressive in Private Banking and Investment Banking, client-oriented. Collaborative work-style, forward planning. Technologically advanced, agile working, excellent employee benefits.

Adminstrative

Fast pace and merciless during retrenchment. Some bankers are nice and reasonable while some are not. Guess it's the same everywhere. Great place to work in.
