Toxic envt

Forget it. Toxic culture. Backstabbing and zilch teamwork are the norms everyday.Dont expect any support. They dont know what they are doing either. Nice to see. Rotten inside

Friendly people & positive environment

Most co-workers are friendly and helpful. Lots to learn, grow and develop. Managers are ok. But limited growth if you are contract staff as it is hard to convert to perm.

Fun culture, nice people

Nice people to work with, fun culture, have activities and team bonding, but management has to look into more on staff work life balance. Great salary and benefits too.

high demand, high pay

high demand, high pay.expectation is to work at late hour, but you also get rewarded for your hard work, so it two way traffic.so if like to work, consider UOB

Long working hours

Just joined this company and I am required to OT for the first day. IT is so outdated and lagging, though I feel the pay is alright for me. Don't except to leave on time.

build good relationship with BOSS

make sure you build good relationship with BOSS, else you will not able to work long and get promote faster. Some people can be so drama, able to climb fast. POLITICS???

Wouldnt Work Here Again

No work - life balance. OT everyday from 6.30pm to 8pmOutdated systems & requires you to submit a physical timesheet DAILY to your supervisor. Be careful as many staff were informed that they will be placed at Tampines HQ but end up at Alexandra HQ. Very difficult to get leave. Only good thing is mc is 30days & leave 23 days

Experience is largely dependent on your manager

If you have a good manager/ team lead, days are okay, however if your manager bad, your days would be difficult. Colleagues are not bad from my experience. But the bosses are not exactly easy to work with

Decent Bank

Local Bank with lots of Singaporeans. Many Old Timers. Bonus is decent but base can be low. Does take care of its employees. Work life balance is there.

Poor work ethic

Outdated systems Long hours generally but compensated so it’s fine.Generally colleagues are great, but still office politics do occur, But every working place has politics so its still fine i would say,

Good place to work but compensation low

Compensation is low but bonus is generally ok. Ample annual leave and family care leave which is sufficient each year. However, feel that base compensation can be improved.

Good workplace

Alot of opportunities to learn and take on different roles. Able to gain alot of insights on financial industry and banking industry. Good start for those who are keen to join

Productive

a typical day at work starts with the daily routine inspection of your equipment and then you will meet with your technicians for delegation of tasks and to discuss the concerns of the day.

Regional bank trying to promote good HR practices

Worked for 3 years in the Tech & Ops Division. A typical asian bank where rank and hierarchy is very important. Promotions are far and few, and at the SVP level and above it is impossible unless the Group CIO herself endorses it.

Great people but limited room for growth

Great people but limited room for growth. As opportunities seems to be given based on vintage rather than caliber.Had a great direct boss but that was not enough to fight the culture.

Pros

Friendly culture, great direct boss

Cons

Fast-paced

Awful Place to work in

Everybody OTs, colleagues act nice to your face but then backstab and gossip about you once your back is turned. Old time staff have no patience for newcomers and bully them.Management is toxic also.

Pros

None at all

Cons

Long hours, toxic and backstabbing colleagues, poor management

Customer oriented, productive, good staff welfare

My 14 years of dedicated service in UOB have given me opportunities to learn something new and challenging. My experience included learning Bank's products, providing good customer service, handling of cash transactions, attending to customers' needs and queries, solving customers' bank issues.
