Full job description

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Piano Teacher to join our music school. This role involves developing students' musical abilities, fostering a love for music, and preparing them for examinations and performances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personalized Instruction: Deliver high-quality piano lessons tailored to each student’s learning style, age, and skill level.
  • Progress Assessment: Monitor and evaluate student development, offering constructive feedback and encouragement.
  • Performance Preparation: Guide students in preparing for music exams (e.g., ABRSM), recitals, and competitions.
  • Collaborative Communication: Maintain open and respectful communication with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about current teaching methods, music education trends, and inclusive practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum ABRSM Grade 8 in Piano (Practical and Theory) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience: Prior teaching experience is preferred, especially with diverse age groups and learning needs. However, we welcome enthusiastic candidates who may be new to teaching but demonstrate strong musical ability, a willingness to learn, and a passion for education.
  • Skills:
  • Solid piano proficiency appropriate for teaching students across beginner to intermediate levels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a supportive approach to student development.
