Full job description

Our client is a European-headquartered financial services organization with a strong people-oriented culture. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to manage payroll administration for their APAC region. Reporting to the APAC Head of HR, this role will ensure compliance with local regulatory and tax authorities and year-end reporting in accordance with internal processes.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure monthly payrolls for the APAC region are processed with statutory requirements and in a timely manner
  • Liaise with external payroll vendors on prompt resolution of issues and continuous improvement
  • Timely processing of new hires, terminations, salary amendments and other payroll related changes
  • Preparing and filing all necessary statutory reports and payments related to payroll
  • Provide subject matter expertise on all payroll related matters and tasks across the region
  • Keep abreast of legislation changes and ensure compliance across all payroll locations

To be eligible for this role you will require:

  • Degree qualified with at least 8 to 10 years of relevant payroll experience and knowledge of labour laws and legislations in APAC markets
  • Numerate with excellent analytical and communications skills
  • Experience in driving process improvement and change initiatives
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task to manage multiple projects while maintaining a close attention to detail.
  • A self-starter who is agile, inquisitive and keen to learn
