Position: Freelance Private Art Teacher (1-To-1)

Responsibilities:
Provide individualised art instruction tailored to each student’s abilities, interests, and personal goals.

Develop and implement creative lesson plans that teach artistic techniques, colour theory, design principles, and other key concepts.

Foster a positive and encouraging environment where children can freely express their creativity and develop their artistic abilities.

Adapt lessons to accommodate the needs of children with learning or special needs, ensuring inclusivity in every class.

Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods to meet the evolving needs and skills of each student.

Introduce students to a variety of artistic mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media.

Collaborate with families to keep them informed about their child’s progress and suggest ways to encourage artistic exploration at home.

Stay updated on current trends in art education and incorporate innovative techniques into teaching.

Requirements:
Proficiency in various art forms and mediums, with a strong foundation in art techniques and design principles.

Previous experience teaching art to children, especially in a one-to-one setting.

A relevant degree or certification in art education, fine arts, or a related field is a plus.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and encouraging approach to teaching.

Ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning styles and individual needs, especially for children with learning or special needs.

A passion for inspiring creativity and fostering artistic growth in children.

(dance, art, swimming, etc.): Up to $120-150 per session

Therapist

(speech, occupational, physiotherapy, etc.): Up to $200-220/hr

Psychologist

: Up to $250/hr

Counsellor

: Up to $150/hr
