We are a 5-star, award-winning property seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Reservation Agent & Travel Host to assist our guests with their booking needs and provide a seamless travel experience. This role involves managing reservations, coordinating travel arrangements, acquiring fare and schedule information, calculating travel costs, supporting our clients, and escorting guests from Singapore to Batam via ferry.

Roles & Responsibilities

Reservation Duties

• As an inbound reservations agent, you will handle travel reservations and inquiries with suppliers, including hotels, transportation providers, meal vendors, and other service partners in Singapore and other countries, where required.
• Coordinate closely with suppliers to ensure accurate bookings and smooth travel arrangements.
• Respond and manage incoming emails, live chats, and phone calls regarding accommodation inquiries for inbound travels and Bawah Reserve.
• Enter new reservations, changes, and cancellations into Bawah Reserve’s various software systems.
• File guest correspondence and other reservation documentation.
• Stay updated on room rates, special offers, and promotions.
• Ensure reservations are processed efficiently and accurately.
• Process payments and send confirmation details to customers.
• Sort out issues related to bookings or reservations.
• Follow up with guests for additional required information for visa requirements or updated passports.
• Act as a liaison between the company and guests to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide support to customers who need to amend or cancel reservations.
• Ensure client and guest profiles are properly created, maintained, and updated.
• Monitor room sales and apply selling strategies to increase revenues.
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge to explain services and facilities to clients.
• Work with the Manager to arrange pre-payment to hotels and suppliers.

Travel Host Duties

• Meet and greet guests at the ferry terminal upon arrival.
• Assist in the advance collection of boarding passes and luggage check-in.
• Assist with customs and immigration clearance.
• Accompany guests onboard the ferry to Batam and hand them over to the Bawah team in Batam.
• Engage with guests, answer questions, and explain the next steps in the journey.
• Troubleshoot problems that may arise and remain calm and positive.
• Willingness to work weekends and during festive or holiday seasons. (requirement)

Ideal Attributes

• Positive work attitude, able to work independently as well as a team player.
• Passion for customer service &interpersonal skills.
• Communicate efficiently with team members as this is a remote work environment.
• Proficient in English (written and verbal); additional language ability is a plus.
• Experience as a Reservations officer in an inbound travel agency is an advantage.
• Multi-tasking, detail-oriented and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• This position requires regular travel between Singapore and Batam. Candidates should possess a valid passport and be able to meet all travel and immigration requirements relevant to the role.
