About job

Company: 0G Lab

Project: Arn-Apex

Timeline: 3 - 4 years

Location: Fully Remote — open to applicants worldwide

Role Summary

The Blockchain Engineer at Arn-Apex builds and maintains the critical infrastructure powering our decentralized gaming ecosystem. You will design and operate the secure, scalable systems that connect in-game assets, NFTs, and platform tokens across multiple networks. This role focuses on the high-performance backbone of our project—managing RPC node operations, indexing services (The Graph), and middleware development to ensure that our game data is real-time, reliable, and transparent for a global community of players.

Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Management: Design and maintain the platform's blockchain infrastructure, including high-availability EVM (Polygon, Arbitrum, Base) and Solana RPC endpoints and nodes.
  • Middleware Development: Build robust middleware services in TypeScript or Node.js to bridge our MongoDB/PostgreSQL backend with various blockchain networks for seamless data synchronization.
  • Data Indexing: Develop and manage Subgraphs (via The Graph) or custom indexers to ensure real-time tracking of NFT mints (Mons), marketplace transfers, and staking reward distributions.
  • Cross-Chain Integration: Implement and optimize cross-chain functionality and data oracles (e.g., Chainlink VRF) to support multi-network compatibility for assets and fair-play mechanics.
  • Layer 2 Strategy: Evaluate and integrate Layer 2 solutions to minimize transaction costs for users while maintaining high throughput for the Battle Arena and Marketplace.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor blockchain uptime and transaction latency across multiple environments, ensuring 24/7 reliability for the game's live dashboards and stats.
  • Security & Standards: Enforce best practices for blockchain data handling, storage (IPFS), and secure interaction with decentralized protocols.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 7+ years in software engineering with a heavy focus on blockchain infrastructure and multi-chain data pipelines.
  • EVM Mastery: Strong experience with EVM-compatible networks (Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum) and their underlying node architecture.
  • Tooling Proficiency: High proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, Ethers.js, and Web3.js.
  • On-Chain Depth: Hands-on experience with RPC management, IPFS for decentralized metadata storage, and indexing frameworks like The Graph.
  • Infrastructure Mastery: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and automated CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) for blockchain-connected services.
  • Communication: Ability to design and document complex technical architectures for a remote, global engineering team.

Preferred Skills

  • Non-EVM Knowledge: Specific experience with Solana (Rust/Anchor) data structures and indexing.
  • Oracle Orchestration: Deep knowledge of Chainlink (VRF, Price Feeds) and other decentralized oracle protocols.
  • Web3 Analytics: Exposure to block explorer APIs and custom transaction monitoring tools for auditing game economy health.
