Cafe Manager Trainee jobs

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the daily operations of the café, ensuring smooth front-of-house and back-of-house coordination.
• Manage and develop a high-performing team through recruitment, training, coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
• Maintain the highest standards of food quality, beverage consistency, service excellence, cleanliness, and food safety in accordance with company SOPs and local regulatory requirements.
• Monitor financial performance, including sales, labour costs, food costs, inventory control, budgeting, and profitability.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage inventory, procurement, supplier relationships, and stock control to minimise wastage and optimise cost efficiency.
• Handle customer feedback and service recovery professionally to ensure a consistently positive guest experience.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety, hygiene, licensing, and employment regulations.

Business Expansion Responsibilities

As Mimmo continues its growth strategy, you will also play a key role in supporting the company’s expansion plans. This includes:

• Assisting in the planning, setup, and successful launch of the second and third Mimmo café outlets.
• Developing and standardising operational procedures to ensure consistency across multiple locations.
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and training of management and operational teams for new outlets.
• Coordinating pre-opening activities, including equipment procurement, inventory planning, workflow design, and operational readiness.
• Establishing performance benchmarks and ensuring all outlets operate in line with the Mimmo brand standards.
• Collaborating with senior management on expansion strategies, budgeting, manpower planning, and new business opportunities.
• Providing ongoing operational support and leadership to ensure sustainable growth as Mimmo expands into a multi-outlet café brand.
