Hiring: Analytical Chemist – Marine Fuel

IAMA Marine Singapore Pte. Ltd.

is looking for an

Analytical Chemist / Fuel Quality Specialist

.

Key Responsibilities:
Witness and review marine fuel laboratory analysis under

ISO/IEC 17020

requirements.

Conduct

marine fuel tank sampling onboard vessels

.

Perform

fuel oil testing onboard ship

, including quality and compatibility assessments.

Conduct

fuel compatibility tests

and interpret results.

Prepare professional

fuel analysis and investigation reports

.

Advise clients on

fuel quality, off-specification issues, contamination and compatibility

.

Investigate fuel quality disputes and abnormal test results.

Liaise with laboratories, shipowners, suppliers and surveyors.

Requirements:
Degree in

Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry / Chemical Engineering

or related field.

Experience with

marine fuels / petroleum products

preferred.

Knowledge of

ISO 8217, ASTM/IP standards and fuel testing

.

Strong analytical, technical and report-writing skills.

Marine fuel laboratory or bunker industry experience will be an advantage.
