ABOUT SOMIN.AI
SoMin.ai is a Singapore-headquartered AI marketing intelligence company. Our platform turns live competitor and audience data into pre-scored campaign concepts, combining a Brand Tracker (competitor ad analysis across Meta, Google, TikTok and YouTube), Perspective Studies (audience tension and white-space mapping), Expressions (content briefs and concepts by channel and persona) and Ad Scoring (CTR and engagement prediction before media spend). Our proprietary SoCraft deep-learning CTR models are peer-reviewed at ACM. We are backed by the Google AI First Programme, named a Gartner Cool Vendor in Marketing AI, and trusted by brands and agencies including P&G, Audi, Ferrari, Gojek, Abbott, Citi, KFC, Nestle, Dentsu, Havas and Publicis.
THE ROLE
This is a Career Conversion Programme (CCP) position mapped to the Skills Framework for ICT job role of Data Analyst / Associate Data Engineer, under the Data and Artificial Intelligence functional track. You will join our data team on a structured training plan combining on-the-job training with in-house classroom/blended training, and you will be mentored directly by Prof. Aleks Farseev, Founder & CEO of SoMin.ai - Guest Professor at NUS and INSEAD, Research Professor at ITMO University, PhD in Computer Science (NUS), with 30+ peer-reviewed publications at ACM MM, WWW, SIGIR and WSDM. The role is offered as a full-time, 1-year contract based at our Singapore office at 221 Henderson Road.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Analytics: Identify underlying trends and patterns in business and campaign data using statistical and computational techniques and tools; develop, apply and evaluate algorithms, predictive data modelling and data visualisation.
Data Engineering: Use appropriate tools, systems and techniques to collect, store, extract, transform, load and integrate data across the pipeline according to set guidelines.
Data Visualisation: Select appropriate visualisation techniques and build dashboards that reflect data trends and findings for internal teams and clients.
Database Administration: Carry out basic installation, configuration and upgrade of databases and servers, and perform routine data backup and recovery activities.
Data Ethics: Apply and uphold professional, legal and ethical principles, policies and procedures in the collection, use, storage and disposal of data.
Business Needs Analysis: Document business requirements and identify basic needs as well as potential solutions with product and marketing stakeholders.
Business Performance Management: Monitor performance of the department against established indicators, track progress and surface gaps.
Business Innovation: Explore opportunities to apply new advances in AI and information and communication technology to our products and services.
Design Thinking Practice: Apply design thinking methodologies to frame and solve product and client problems.
Project Management: Support and oversee small projects, managing timelines, resources, risks and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management: Identify key stakeholder relationships, needs and interests, and coordinate with stakeholders on a day-to-day basis.
Budgeting: Support the preparation of the business unit's operational budgets, including forecasting and allocation.
Networking: Identify and analyse business opportunities that grow the company's operations.
REQUIREMENTS
Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Working knowledge of SQL and Python (pandas, NumPy); exposure to cloud data services, ideally Google Cloud, is an advantage.
Familiarity with at least one BI or visualisation tool such as Looker Studio, Tableau or Power BI.
Comfortable working with large, unstructured datasets from multiple sources, including social and advertising platforms.
Strong analytical reasoning, attention to detail, and the ability to explain findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Interest in AI, generative AI and digital marketing analytics.
Candidates converting from adjacent roles are welcome. The CCP training plan is customised to your conversion needs, and skills already acquired in your immediate prior job role can be recognised through Recognition of Prior Learning.
WHAT WE OFFER
A structured Career Conversion Programme training plan covering 13 Skills Framework Technical Skills and Competencies, delivered mainly through on-the-job training and supported by in-house classroom/blended training.
Direct mentorship from Prof. Aleks Farseev, and hands-on exposure to production AI and machine learning systems used by global brands and agencies.
A collaborative, research-driven team in Singapore working at the frontier of generative AI for marketing.
We are an equal opportunity employer. All applications are assessed on merit, skills and experience. Please let us know if you require any adjustments during the application process.
