Job Description
The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for Research Associate position in Coastal Engineering research. The candidate is expected to work in investigating the impact of hydrologic and hydrodynamic processes on coastal structures. Other responsibilities can include:
- Facilitate smooth communication and coordination among all project parties.
- Responsible for project administrative tasks, including procurement and maintenance, permit applications, and scheduling of activities.
- Deploy field equipment and conduct field experiments in the coastal environment to collect good quality data.
- Summarize research findings in high-quality research presentations and reports.
Job Requirements
- Possess a Master’s degree in civil engineering, Environmental Science, or related disciplines.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in relevant field.
- Strong interest in research work, field surveys and site supervision.
- Experience in using numerical models and software preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders, including government agencies.
- Open to a fixed-term contract.
