Key responsibilities

  • Greeting patients upon arrival and maintaining an organised, clean and welcoming reception area
  • Managing patient appointments, scheduling and rescheduling consultations as required
  • Collecting and filing patient medical records accurately and maintaining confidentiality at all times
  • Assisting with basic clinical procedures and providing support to the specialist during examinations
  • Taking patient vital signs including blood pressure, temperature and weight
  • Processing patient payments, managing invoices and handling administrative billing tasks
  • Maintaining inventory of medical supplies and equipment, reporting shortages promptly
  • Answering telephone enquiries professionally and directing calls appropriately
  • Ensuring compliance with clinic policies, health and safety regulations and data protection requirements
  • Supporting staff members and contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience working in a medical clinic, healthcare facility or similar patient-facing environment
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and empathetic approach to patient interactions
  • Competency in using electronic medical records (Plato) systems and general office software
  • A genuine passion for delivering high-quality patient care and supporting healthcare professionals
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate medical records and documentation
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst also managing responsibilities independently
  • Flexibility and resilience to handle a busy clinical environment with composure
  • Relevant healthcare certifications (such as CPR or First Aid) are advantageous
  • Understanding of confidentiality, ethics and professionalism in a healthcare setting
  • Non-judgemental and non-objector to termination of pregnancy
