Role Overview

We are seeking a high-caliber National Security Manager – Operations to oversee cargo security compliance, risk mitigation, facility protection, and supply chain resilience across logistics and warehouse operations. The successful candidate will drive security governance, lead threat and vulnerability assessments, manage security systems and outsourced vendor performance, and maintain robust business continuity frameworks to safeguard high-value assets and customer supply chains.

Key Responsibilities

Security Governance & Awareness: Implement security governance frameworks, staff security awareness programs, training, and specialized security project implementations across logistics operations.

Cargo Security Compliance: Drive compliance with industry-standard frameworks (including air cargo security regimes, TAPA FSR "A", STP-Plus, and Trade First Premium), conduct gap assessments, and execute corrective action plans.

Risk Assessment & Loss Prevention: Perform Threat, Vulnerability, and Risk Assessments (TVRA) and Intellectual Property Risk Management (IPRM) to identify vulnerabilities, conduct root-cause investigations into cargo losses or incidents, and deploy preventative controls.

Incident Management & Analytics: Manage security investigations, maintain loss registers, prepare detailed management reports, and develop Excel dashboards to monitor security compliance, trends, and KPIs.

Business Continuity & Supply Chain Risk: Maintain risk and business continuity registers, run tabletop exercises, and lead recovery planning for operational disruptions.

Physical Security Technology: Oversee, evaluate, and upgrade technical security infrastructure, including CCTV, access control, perimeter protection, alarms, VMS/PSIM platforms, and technology roadmaps.

Audits, Spot Checks & Red Teaming: Plan and execute operational security audits across warehouses and transport networks; conduct unannounced spot checks and red-teaming exercises to test security controls and guard force readiness.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage outsourced security service providers against SLAs and contract compliance. Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, IT, HR, Procurement, Fleet, and customer security teams.

Key Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management, Criminology, Risk Management, Business Continuity, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Professional Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in corporate security, supply chain security, law enforcement, military, homeland security, or logistics security management.

High-Value Assets & Audits: Proven track record in managing stringent customer security requirements, risk audits, and compliance in high-value cargo environments.

Industry Background: Strong preference for candidates with experience in a Third-Party Logistics (3PL) environment.
