Summary:

  • This position combines the art of crafting specialty coffee beverages with the delightful task of serving premium ice cream and other frozen desserts. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, customer-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Beverage Preparation:
  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso-based drinks, including lattes, cappuccinos, and iced coffees.
  • Operate and maintain espresso machines and other coffee equipment.
  • Ice Cream Service:
  • Scoop and serve ice cream
  • Prepare and present ice cream creations with attention to detail and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized ice cream display case.
  • Customer Service:
  • Provide friendly, efficient, and attentive customer service.
  • Take customer orders accurately and handle cash and card transactions.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Cafe Maintenance:
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the coffee bar, ice cream counter, and customer seating area.
  • Restock supplies and ingredients as needed.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures.
  • Teamwork:
  • Work well with other cafe staff.
  • Assist in other cafe duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous barista or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system.
  • A passion for coffee and ice cream.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Food handlers certification is required.
