We’re looking for an Intern, UX Design to join our UX & Design team. This is a full-time internship based in Singapore. At Viki, we believe that empathy is key to creating meaningful products and experiences for our users so you’ll get the opportunity to apply all your UX knowledge into practice. From conducting user research in order to understand user needs, to designing, prototyping and testing your ideas with users in order to improve our products.

Besides getting hands-on experience researching and designing for an actual product that’s being loved by millions, you’ll receive mentorship from a dedicated mentor, through our weekly design sharing sessions, and through the connections you’ll forge with all your great new colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the UX team members

• Work with Product Managers to ensure all design works meet user needs and business requirements

• Conduct user research activities such as, usability testing, A/B testing, stakeholder interviews, surveys, and translate research findings into actionable recommendations

• Design visual prototypes ranging from concept to interactive mock-ups on Figma

• Responsible for the governance and maintenance of Viki’s design system

• Contribute actively to the UX team’s day to day operations

• Contribute actively to all UX related discovery and explorations

• Communicate design rationale effectively to key stakeholders

• Collaborate with engineers in the building of your design

• Push creativity, spark fresh ideas, challenge established thinking, and discover new ways of solving a problem

Requirements:

• Good understanding of the UX design process

• Ability to think at a high level about a complex product

• Ability to communicate and explain rationale for new features and changes

• Interest in using data and user research to inform design decisions

• Understanding of web and app design. A portfolio that demonstrates your experience creating great user-centric design solutions would be a plus

• Preferably able to commit to a 6 months, full time internship
