Opportunity for a Registered Foreign Lawyer to join the Corporate Team

We are seeking an experienced lawyer to join our corporate team based in Singapore. The successful candidate can expect to be involved in complex, cross-border and engaging work within a team that is supportive and collegial. Prior experience in cross-border M&A, capital markets and/or restructuring &insolvency work would be favorably considered, as would be Mandarin capabilities and experience dealing with Chinese-speaking clients in Greater China or within SE Asia.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2+ years’ post qualification experience in Corporate/M&A
• Thorough technical understanding of Singapore law and regulation as it applies to Corporate work
• Ability to work well in both a team and individually
• Demonstrate a high degree of commercial awareness
• Excellent written communication and drafting skills
• Self-confident, proactive, pragmatic approach to tasks and projects
• Highly enthusiastic and self-motivated
• Desire to be proactively involved in business development and marketing with a view to handling networking and client contact from the outset
• Able to simplify complex legal issues for client/team stakeholders
