The incumbent is responsible for supporting and overseeing the day-to-day beverage operations at Kee’s while actively assisting with overall restaurant floor operations.

The role is primarily responsible for ensuring that all beverages are prepared and served to the highest standards of quality, consistency, presentation and efficiency, while supporting the Restaurant & Beverage Manager in maintaining smooth daily operations.

The Beverage Supervisor/ Bar Captain is expected to lead by example, maintain strong bar visibility during service, support the beverage team, and work closely with the floor team to deliver a seamless guest experience.

The role will also assist with beverage ordering, inventory control, preparation, cost control, scheduling and event execution. When required, the Beverage Supervisor / Bar Captain will take an active role in floor supervision, assisting with guest service, table management, service recovery, coordination between front of house (FOH) and back of house (BOH) and overall restaurant operations.

KEY RESPOBSBILITIES:
1. Beverage Operations:

• Oversee the daily operations of the beverage department in accordance with Kee’s SOPs and service standards.
• Ensure all beverages are prepared and served consistently according to approved recipes, specifications and presentation standards.
• Maintain high standards of beverage quality, taste, temperature, presentation and hygiene.
• Ensure all beverage equipment, stations and surrounding areas are clean, organised and operational.
• Monitor beverage service during operating hours and ensure service standards are consistently maintained.
• Assist the Restaurant &Beverage Manager in implementing and maintaining beverage SOPs.
• Identify operational gaps and recommend improvements to beverage service and workflow.
• Maintain strong bar visibility during peak service periods and provide hands-on support when required.

2. Floor and Restaurant Operations:

• Support the Restaurant & Beverage Manager in the overall day-to-day operation of the restaurant.
• Assist in supervising the floor team during breakfast, lunch, dinner and peak operating periods.
• Work closely with servers, hosts, bartenders and BOH teams to ensure smooth service flow.
• Assist with table management, guest seating, service sequence and overall floor coordination.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and proactively attend to guest requests, feedback and service recovery situations.
• Assist the floor team during busy periods, including taking orders, running food and beverages, clearing tables and supporting service flow where required.
• Ensure communication between the bar and floor teams is clear and efficient.
• Monitor cleanliness, ambience, music, lighting, table settings and overall presentation of the restaurant.
• Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the Kee’s concept and service standards.
• Step into the role of floor lead when delegated by the Restaurant & Beverage Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum tertiary education or 2 year degree from an accredited university in hospitality related major with 3 years experience in the beverage or related professional area.
• Minimum 2years supervisory experience.
• WSET or equivalent trained preferred.
