What does a Producer do at Hogarth?

The Producer will typically be assigned to higher complexity projects. Producers are required to have international and domestic production experience. You will represent the agency at client meetings and industry events. Bid, prep and supervise production of content, including all image capture for multiple platforms (film, video, photography, illustration, graphics, sound) and digital production (social, mobile).

Reporting lines and key stakeholders:

This role reports to the Head of Broadcast.

Responsibilities

  • Introducing new ideas and concepts that align with the clients’ brand initiatives
  • Ensuring production projects the intended brand image and meets competitive goals
  • Reviewing finished product to determine its quality and readiness
  • Actively seeking out and picking up new and emerging media, platforms and technology.
  • Ballparking and scheduling of creative concepts.
  • Reviewing production bids and treatment and advise on qualification and suitability.
  • Cultivating positive relationships with production partners.
  • Bidding, reviewing and negotiating production estimates.
  • Formulating and developing production rationale and recommendations.
  • Partnering and developing strong relationships with Project Management, Account Servicing and Creative departments.
  • Building on existing client relationships and continuing to network with key stakeholders within the agency.
  • Scrutinising suppliers’ plans and practices, providing direction as needed.
  • Coordinating and scheduling production
  • Conduct and document pre-production meetings
  • Ensure that the assigned projects are produced to a high creative standard, delivered on time and within the agreed budget. Provide timely notification to the team on changes to budget and/or schedule.
  • Be responsible for all material required for the projects.
  • Manage multiple projects as needed
  • Mentor Producers, providing direction and support where appropriate.
  • Be client and new business client-facing.

Qualifications

  • Minimally 5 years of experience in an advertising agency and/or production industry.
  • Knowledge of all agency disciplines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Strong team management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, take-ownership attitude, self-organising and highly skilled in time management to facilitate involvement in multiple projects.
  • Able to work independently with limited supervision, and communicate up, down and laterally to project stakeholders within the agency.
  • Maintain lasting internal and external client and production partner relationships.
  • Reinforce team approach throughout development efforts.
  • Great team player and a great attitude towards team successes.
  • Work well under pressure.
