Full job description

Colours of Singapura is looking for a passionate and creative Art Teacher to conduct art classes for children and occasionally adults. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with people, nurturing creativity, and creating a fun and supportive learning environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct engaging art classes primarily for young adults, primary and secondary school students who are focused on improving their existing Art Skills
  • Guide students through various art techniques such as drawing, painting, colouring, and mixed media
  • Encourage creativity, self-expression, and confidence in students
  • Prepare simple lesson plans and basic art materials for classes
  • Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Support beginner students while nurturing those with stronger artistic abilities

Requirements

  • Applicants must possess a minimum of 1 year of art instruction and teaching
  • Enjoys working with young adults
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Responsible, patient, and encouraging personality
  • Ability to manage small groups of students during lessons

Preferred (but not required)

  • Background in Fine Arts, Design, Art Education, or related fields
  • Prior experience teaching art classes or workshops
  • Experience working with children or community programmes
