Full job description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation: Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of halal local/Asian dishes daily according to stall recipes.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food taste, presentation, portioning, and freshness.
  • Halal Compliance: Adhere strictly to MUIS Halal-certified guidelines and procedures for ingredient storage, handling, and cooking.
  • Hygiene & Safety: Clean and maintain the cooking area, kitchen utensils, and equipment daily inline with SFA food hygiene regulations.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor ingredients stock levels, track freshness, and order supplies responsibly to minimize waste.

Job Requirements

  • Certification: Valid Food Safety Course Level 1 Certificate (Food Hygiene Cert) is mandatory.
  • Experience: Minimum 1–2years of cooking experience in an F&B setting, must have experience in cooking halal cuisine.
  • Language: Ability to communicate basics to process orders efficiently.
  • Attributes: Hardworking, physically fit (able to stand for long hours), and a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability: Able to work operational shifts, including early mornings, weekends, or public holidays if required.
