About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced healthcare compliance, regulatory, legal, ethics, privacy, or risk management professional to support multinational organizations operating throughout the Asia-Pacific region. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with executive leadership teams and senior advisors on complex compliance, governance, regulatory, privacy, anti-corruption, and risk management matters affecting multiple jurisdictions. Particular emphasis will be placed on supporting organizations operating within the medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical, life sciences, and other highly regulated industries. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor supporting the development, implementation, enhancement, and ongoing operation of sophisticated compliance programs, regulatory initiatives, investigations, governance activities, and operational compliance functions throughout the APAC region.
Key Responsibilities
· Support the design, implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise compliance and ethics programs.
· Assist organizations with developing scalable compliance infrastructures, governance frameworks, reporting mechanisms, and oversight processes.
· Support compliance committee activities, executive reporting, risk management initiatives, and program effectiveness evaluations.
· Provide strategic and practical compliance guidance to executive leadership teams.
· Assist organizations in fostering a culture of ethics, compliance, accountability, and regulatory excellence.
· Conduct legal, regulatory, and compliance research across APAC jurisdictions.
· Monitor regulatory developments, enforcement trends, industry standards, and emerging compliance risks.
· Prepare executive-level memoranda, reports, risk assessments, and compliance guidance.
· Analyze regulatory obligations and provide recommendations regarding implementation priorities and risk mitigation strategies.
· Support reviews involving healthcare professional (HCP) interactions, educational programs, sponsorships, grants, consultant engagements, speaker programs, and related activities.
· Assist with anti-bribery, anti-corruption, ethics, and third-party risk management initiatives.
· Support distributor, vendor, consultant, and business partner due diligence reviews.
· Assist with commercialization governance, promotional activities, and operational compliance matters.
· Provide guidance regarding industry expectations and healthcare compliance best practices.
· Draft, review, and maintain policies, procedures, codes of conduct, governance frameworks, standards, and guidance documents.
· Develop compliance training materials, communications, awareness initiatives, and educational programs.
· Support organization-wide compliance and ethics training initiatives involving anti-corruption, privacy, investigations, healthcare compliance, and related risk areas.
· Assist with policy implementation and operationalization efforts across multiple jurisdictions.
· Conduct or support workplace investigations, compliance investigations, ethics matters, and issue management activities.
· Assist with witness interviews, documentation reviews, findings reports, and remediation planning.
· Conduct compliance risk assessments, monitoring activities, internal reviews, and gap analyses.
· Support development of risk-based auditing and monitoring programs designed to evaluate compliance program effectiveness.
· Support privacy and data protection initiatives across multiple jurisdictions.
· Assist with cross-border data governance, vendor oversight, and regulatory compliance activities.
· Support organizations in preparing for regulatory inquiries, audits, inspections, and examinations.
· Interface with regulators, government agencies, accrediting organizations, and external stakeholders as needed.
· Coordinate with local counsel and subject matter experts regarding jurisdiction-specific legal and regulatory matters.
· Attorney, compliance professional, regulatory affairs professional, privacy professional, risk management professional, or related discipline.
· Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience.
· Experience supporting multinational organizations operating across multiple APAC jurisdictions.
· Strong analytical, research, writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent verbal and written English proficiency.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently while effectively supporting executive leadership teams.
· Experience within healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, life sciences, financial services, or other regulated industries strongly preferred.
