Full job description

Join a dynamic team specializing in sea freight import operations, focusing on coordinating import shipments and ensuring seamless customs clearance. This role is essential for delivering high-quality service to clients and managing logistics efficiently.


Responsibilities:

Handle import shipment documentation, including Arrival Notices, Delivery Orders, Bills of Lading, manifests, and invoice verification.
Manage Customs and TradeNet operations:
Conduct import permit declarations.
Submit documentation to Singapore Customs/TradeNet.
Verify HS codes and ensure compliance with GST/duty processing.
Coordinate shipments by liaising with shipping lines, overseas agents, customers, hauliers, and warehouses.
Arrange container collection and oversee cargo delivery, monitoring vessel arrival schedules.
Organize port and clearance arrangements:
Coordinate with Portnet and arrange container trucking.
Handle FCL/LCL cargo and resolve any discrepancies in documentation or clearance.
Follow up on operational tasks:
Monitor cargo release status to ensure timely delivery to customers.
Address any detention/demurrage issues as needed.
Ensure all transactions are completed accurately and on time while balancing costs and service quality.


Requirements:

Diploma or equivalent qualification.
Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience in the NVOCC or freight forwarding industry.
Strong understanding of sea freight operations and documentation requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with clients.
Proficient in data entry and handling multiple tasks under pressure.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
