Assistant Restaurant Manager (Pre-Opening)

Join our newest pre-opening concept in Dempsey Hill as our next Assistant Restaurant Manager. Inspired by contemporary Asian dining and rooted in premium Chinese ingredients, this casual upscale destination offers an immersive dining experience surrounded by lush greenery, with thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor spaces where exceptional cuisine, attentive service, and genuine hospitality come together.

As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the General Manager in delivering operational excellence and exceptional guest experiences. You will lead the front-of-house team, uphold service standards, and ensure smooth daily operations while contributing to the successful opening and long-term growth of this exciting new concept.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations and ensuring seamless service execution.
  • Lead and motivate the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional hospitality and maintain consistently high service standards.
  • Assist in managing restaurant floor operations, including service flow, table allocation, guest engagement, and team coordination.
  • Ensure guests receive a personalised and memorable dining experience through attentive and proactive service.
  • Monitor service quality and provide guidance to team members to maintain brand standards.
  • Coach, train, and mentor service staff to develop strong product knowledge, service skills, and hospitality mindset.
  • Conduct pre-service briefings and ensure the team is aligned on menu updates, promotions, service expectations, and operational priorities.
  • Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth communication and efficient service delivery.
  • Handle guest feedback, enquiries, and service recovery situations professionally and effectively.
  • Support manpower planning, staff scheduling, and deployment to optimise operational efficiency.
  • Assist with inventory control, cost management, and operational procedures to support outlet profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, workplace safety, and operational standards.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of food, beverage offerings, restaurant concept, and seasonal menu changes.
  • Support the implementation and improvement of SOPs, service procedures, and training materials.
  • Participate in pre-opening activities including recruitment, training, service rehearsals, operational setup, and opening preparations.

We’re Looking for Someone Who

  • Pre-opening experience will be an advantage.
  • Has proven experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager, Supervisor, or senior front-of-house team member within premium restaurants, hotels, or lifestyle dining concepts.
  • Has strong knowledge of restaurant operations and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality.
  • Possesses leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a service team.
  • Has excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with guests and colleagues.
  • Is organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Has a strong understanding of service standards, guest experience, and operational excellence.
