Commis Chef – (Pre-Opening)

What You'll Do

  • Assist in the preparation and execution of menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Support the Chef de Partie and senior chefs in daily kitchen operations.
  • Prepare ingredients, including washing, cutting, portioning, and basic cooking tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Follow SOPs, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Assist with stock rotation, inventory management, and proper storage of ingredients.
  • Support the team during service to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely delivery of dishes.
  • Participate in training sessions, tastings, and workshops to continuously develop culinary skills.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative kitchen culture focused on teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Gain hands-on experience across different kitchen sections while developing core culinary techniques.
  • Build a strong foundation for career progression into Demi Chef de Partie and beyond.

We're Looking for Someone Who

  • Is passionate about food and eager to build a career in the culinary industry.
  • Has previous kitchen experience or culinary training (preferred but not essential).
  • Is willing to learn, take feedback positively, and continuously improve.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Has a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset.
  • Pays attention to detail and takes pride in maintaining high food quality and hygiene standards.
  • Has pre-opening or upscale casual dining experience (a plus).
