The Middle and High Schools seek an enthusiastic and experienced Learning Support Teacher to join our growing Inclusive Education and Therapy Team. The successful candidate will have a passion for inclusion and supporting all students to meet their individual potential. They will work with individual students and small groups in our Middle and High Schools schools to provide support to access the curriculum.
Position requirements:
- International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (IBMYP), IGCSE and IB experience are preferred.
- International School teaching experience is required.
- Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) / Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) qualifications and experience would be advantageous.
- Extensive knowledge of supporting students with additional learning needs including implementation of Inclusive Access Arrangements for internal and external examinations and assessments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with parents, students, teachers, school administration and external agencies when necessary.
- Exemplary verbal and written English.
- Excellent time management and adaptability.
- Good confidential references on request, reflecting the qualities listed above.
Qualifications:
- A minimum Bachelor's degree in a related discipline i.e. Teaching, Learning Support, Additional Learning Needs.
- Additional specialist certifications would be an advantage.
