Role Description

TG Energy Trading Pte. Ltd. is currently looking for a full-time LNG trader. The incumbent is mainly responsible for LNG market analysis, LNG trading activities co-ordination, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence and will be reporting to the Manager, Trading.

Location: 50 Raffles Place, Singapore Land Tower, Singapore 048623 (On-Site)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.15pm

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

Salary Range: $6,000 – $12,000 per month

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed market analysis to identify trading opportunities and develop strategic trading plans.

  • Co-ordinate LNG trading activities and carry out shipping optimisation, inventory optimisation and basis cargo optimisation.

  • Analyse global LNG market trends, including supply and demand dynamics, pricing fluctuations, geopolitics, with contractual terms to identify and take advantage of profitable trading opportunities.

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with counterparties, including LNG producers, utilities, and trading houses, to facilitate deal flows, develop new business commercial opportunities and expand market presence.

  • Collaborate with risk management teams to assess and mitigate trading risks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Work with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, and legal, to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Shipping, Engineering or a related field

  • At least 5 - 7 years of relevant experience

  • Strong knowledge of LNG market analysis and LNG trading activities co-ordination

  • Knowledge of trading software, Allegro

  • Background in electrical engineering

  • Self-motivated to grow and contribute to the company

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Able to persevere and work independently

  • Able to think logically and rationally

  • Knowledge of Japanese language is essential for this role to thrive
