Full job description
Our client is a leading local medical devices contract manufacturer. They are looking for an
R&D Design Engineer
to support the development of a new project, focusing on the design and development of innovative medical devices.
Working Hours:
Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm
Job Responsibilities
Design, develop, modify, and evaluate medical device products from concept to production
Develop prototypes, conduct testing, and prepare engineering documentation
Perform design verification, problem-solving, and product improvement activities
Ensure designs comply with relevant technical standards and quality requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product development and manufacturing transfer
Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering
Minimum 2–3 years of R&D or product design experience in the medical device industry
Hands-on experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or CREO
Knowledge of technical standards such as ASME and JIS
Experience in prototype development, testing, and design documentation
Familiarity with simulation software or data analysis tools (e.g. Minitab, DOE) will be an advantage
