The Medical Escort & Transportation (MET) Executive supports the delivery of safe, reliable, and client-centered transportation and escort services for seniors and clients requiring assistance to attend medical appointments and community services.
The Executive will coordinate service arrangements, support client intake and assessments, liaise with caregivers and healthcare partners, and ensure accurate documentation and operational records. This role is suitable for individuals who are service-oriented, organised, and enjoy working with seniors and the community.
Job Responsibilities
Client Intake and Service Coordination
- Manage client referrals and conduct National Means Testing (NMTS) assessments to determine eligibility for Medical Escort & Transportation (MET) services
- Coordinate transportation and medical escort arrangements for clients attending healthcare appointments and community services
- Liaise with clients, caregivers, healthcare institutions, and community partners to facilitate smooth service delivery
- Provide information and support to clients and caregivers regarding service processes and eligibility requirements
Medical Escort Services
- Provide medical escort services when assigned, ensuring clients are accompanied safely to and from their appointments
- Assist clients with mobility needs, including wheelchair transfers and safe boarding or alighting from transport vehicles
- Monitor clients' well-being during transportation and promptly escalate concerns according to established procedures
Operations and Administrative Support
- Schedule and deploy drivers, escorts, and volunteers to support daily service operations
- Manage the MET hotline, attend to enquiries, and follow up on service requests from clients and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate client records, service utilisation data, and operational documentation
- Prepare routine operational reports and service statistics for management and relevant external agencies
Quality and Compliance
- Participate in service reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and internal audits
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, service standards, and safety procedures
- Support the implementation of standard operating procedures and continuous service improvement efforts
Other Duties
- Provide general administrative support related to MET operations
- Undertake other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Diploma in any discipline
- Candidates with qualifications in healthcare support, social services, community care, or related fields will have an advantage
- Training or certification in Medical Escort Services, Patient Care, First Aid, or related areas will be an added advantage
Skills and Experience
- Experience in service coordination, customer service, healthcare support, community care, or administrative functions is preferred
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage clients, caregivers, volunteers, and stakeholders professionally
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Comfortable maintaining records and preparing basic reports
