The Medical Escort & Transportation (MET) Executive supports the delivery of safe, reliable, and client-centred transportation and escort services for seniors and clients requiring assistance to attend medical appointments and community services.
The Executive will coordinate service arrangements, support client intake and assessments, liaise with caregivers and healthcare partners, and ensure accurate documentation and operational records. This role is suitable for individuals who are service-oriented, organised, and enjoy working with seniors and the community.
Client Intake and Service Coordination
Manage client referrals and conduct National Means Testing (NMTS) assessments to determine eligibility for Medical Escort & Transportation (MET) services.
Coordinate transportation and medical escort arrangements for clients attending healthcare appointments and community services.
Liaise with clients, caregivers, healthcare institutions, and community partners to facilitate smooth service delivery.
Provide information and support to clients and caregivers regarding service processes and eligibility requirements.
Medical Escort Services
Provide medical escort services when assigned, ensuring clients are accompanied safely to and from their appointments.
Assist clients with mobility needs, including wheelchair transfers and safe boarding or alighting from transport vehicles.
Monitor clients' well-being during transportation and promptly escalate concerns according to established procedures.
Operations and Administrative Support
Schedule and deploy drivers, escorts, and volunteers to support daily service operations.
Manage the MET hotline, attend to enquiries, and follow up on service requests from clients and stakeholders.
Maintain accurate client records, service utilisation data, and operational documentation.
Prepare routine operational reports and service statistics for management and relevant external agencies.
Quality and Compliance
Participate in service reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and internal audits.
Ensure compliance with organisational policies, service standards, and safety procedures.
Support the implementation of standard operating procedures and continuous service improvement efforts.
Other Duties
Provide general administrative support related to MET operations.
Under take other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
Diploma in any discipline.
Candidates with qualifications in healthcare support, social services, community care, or related fields will have an advantage.
Training or certification in Medical Escort Services, Patient Care, First Aid, or related areas will be an added advantage.
Skills and Experience
Experience in service coordination, customer service, healthcare support, community care, or administrative functions is preferred.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage clients, caregivers, volunteers, and stakeholders professionally.
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Comfortable maintaining records and preparing basic reports.

The Humble Beginning
Cheng Hong Welfare Service Society has come a long way since its humble beginnings.
Cheng Hong Welfare started as the welfare arm of Cheng Hong Slang Tng (Charitable Organisation) in 2004 and till today, Cheng Hong Slang Tng has been generously support us operationally and financially.
Cheng Hong Welfare Society has abided by the highest standard of Governance and Transparency and has been granted Institution of Public Character (i.e. tax-exempt) status by the Commissioner of Charities. We are also a full member of National Council of Social Service (NCSS).
The Journey
For the past 12 years, our Management Committee members, dedicated staff and most importantly, our generous donors, supporters and big hearted volunteers have worked hard to help build this organization.
Cheng Hong Welfare Service Society has slowly grown stronger and gathering more resources to make a bigger impact on the community we are serving.
Out TCM Medical Services provide Pro Bono TCM treatment and free medications to the disadvantaged and elderly. It started with a humble clinic in Cheng Hong Siang Tng. With the support of generous donors working together with government agencies and partners, it has expanded to include a Medical Centre and six TCM Clinics island-wide.
In additions, it also offered other charitable services like provide food ration, education grants, visits to homes, bring elderly for tours etc.
The New Service
In October 2012, with the generous support of friends and donors, Cheng Hong Welfare Service Society has established a fund and setup an afterlife memorial service. This service provides free columbarium service to those who requires service, regardless of race and religion.
We have been working hard to raise awareness through television and radio with the help of MediaCorp as well as on the ground to elderly homes and care centres with the help of Emperor Entertainment Production Co’s artiste. We are developing this service with pre-registration of funeral arrangement. What the Charity has done in the last twelve years, is serve the communities in need and to make Singapore better place where nobody is left behind.
