Role Overview
We are looking for a collaborative, high-integrity Regional Medical Writer to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will lead the creation of both B2C (consumer/patient-facing) health content and HCP scientific communication across the APAC region.
We place a strong emphasis on culture: we need a true team player who operates with unwavering professional integrity and brings a growth mindset—someone who actively seeks feedback, adapts to fast-evolving healthcare trends, and is excited to continuously refine their craft.
The ideal candidate possesses a valid or previous Singapore Healthcare Professional (HCP) certification/registration and demonstrates an ability to translate complex medical data into clear, engaging, and compliant messaging.
Key Responsibilities1. B2C & B2B Medical Content Authoring
- Consumer Health & B2C Writing: Author and edit lay-friendly patient education toolkits, disease awareness campaigns, digital health content, and patient advocacy materials tailored for regional audiences.
- HCP Scientific Assets: Develop high-quality medical education programs, scientific slide decks, advisory board summaries, and congress materials for healthcare professionals.
- Balance scientific accuracy with engaging, accessible language that resonates with direct consumers while adhering to strict medical boundaries.
2. Medical Governance & Ethics
- Uphold the highest standards of integrity and scientific accuracy across all written deliverables, ensuring ethical representation of data and compliance with local/regional health regulations.
- Serve as a medical reviewer for regional marketing and educational collateral, ensuring alignment with Singapore (HSA) guidelines and regional pharmaceutical codes of practice.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Commercial, Legal, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs) to resolve compliance questions constructively and transparently.
3. Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Embrace a growth mindset: proactively learn new therapeutic domains, adapt to emerging digital channels, and use feedback as a tool for continuous professional development.
- Operate as a dedicated team player, jumping in to support cross-functional goals, supporting agency partners, and keeping open lines of communication during fast-paced project cycles.
Requirements & QualificationsEducation & Mandatory Certification
- Academic Background: Degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, or a related healthcare field.
- Singapore HCP Registration: Valid or prior registration with a recognized Singapore healthcare professional board (e.g., SMC, SPC, SNB, or AHPC).
Work Experience & Core Competencies
- Medical Writing: Minimum 3+ years of medical writing experience within pharma, consumer healthcare, a medical communications agency, or CRO environment.
- B2C Portfolio: Proven experience producing B2C/consumer health content or patient-facing educational assets.
- Mindset & Cultural Fit:
- Team Player: Proven track record of seamless collaboration across multi-disciplinary, cross-cultural teams.
- Growth Mindset: Curious, adaptable, eager to master new scientific topics, and receptive to constructive editing and team feedback.
- Integrity: Highly ethical approach to data representation, compliance, and professional communication.
Skills & Tools
- Outstanding written and spoken English, with a knack for translating dense clinical evidence into clear, compelling plain language.
- Familiarity with review and workflow platforms (Asana and Google)
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Singapore 409961
