Qualifications and Requirements

2–8 years of experience in commodity markets, preferably in a Trading Assistant, Middle Office, or Operations support role, with exposure to derivatives and/or physical commodities.

Strong analytical, organisational, and Excel skills, with experience using commodity trading, execution, clearing, and market-data systems.

Experience with trade, position, and valuation reconciliations involving clearing houses, brokers, fund administrators, and other counterparties.

Detail-oriented, results-driven, and able to make sound, timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal teams and external counterparties.

Experience with Asian commodity exchanges and commodity-related compliance is preferred.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

Support daily commodity trading operations, including trade capture, trade lifecycle management, reconciliations, break investigation, and resolution.

Develop a strong understanding of the firm's front-to-back operational processes, proprietary systems, and reporting tools to provide effective support to Front Office and other internal stakeholders.

Work closely with Portfolio Managers, executing and clearing brokers, prime brokers, fund administrators, and other counterparties to maintain accurate and timely processing.

Support the onboarding of new products, exchanges, brokers, accounts, and operational workflows.

Identify and implement process improvements, including the adoption of new technology and automation opportunities.
