Full job description
We are looking for talented and reliable musicians to join our livehouse performance team. This position is open to musicians across a variety of instruments, including but not limited to guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, percussion and other instruments suitable for live band performances.
The successful candidate will perform live music as part of a band or ensemble, supporting regular livehouse performances, events and special programmes. Musicians should be comfortable performing a variety of music styles and working closely with other performers to deliver engaging and professional live entertainment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform live music during scheduled livehouse performances and events
Rehearse with other musicians, singers and performers as required
Learn and prepare songs according to the venue's performance programme
Work closely with the band and performance team on arrangements, timing and transitions
Maintain a professional standard of musicianship and stage presentation
Assist with sound checks and basic preparation of personal instruments and equipment
Adapt to changes in song selections, arrangements and performance requirements when necessary
Maintain punctuality and reliability for rehearsals and scheduled performances
Requirements:
Proficiency in at least one musical instrument
Experience performing in a live band, entertainment venue, event or similar environment is preferred
Good sense of rhythm, timing and musical coordination
Able to work effectively with singers and other musicians
Able to learn new songs and arrangements within a reasonable timeframe
Comfortable performing in front of a live audience
Responsible, punctual and able to work according to the venue's performance schedule
Ability to play multiple instruments will be an advantage
Formal music qualifications are not required if the candidate can demonstrate suitable practical performance ability
We welcome musicians from different musical backgrounds and styles. Applicants may indicate their primary instrument, other instruments they are able to play, preferred music genres and relevant performance experience when applying.
