Full job description

The job holder will be responsible for delivering high quality voyage management services. Responsible to supervise, guide and managing the performance of the Operators within his / her office, setting relevant objectives to achieve high performing culture within Operations.

The job holder will manage and supervise day to day operational activity within the relevant office/ area, working
always in close coordination with Chartering Teams and Regional Operations Director.

This activity includes all aspects of the Voyage Execution, including Trade and Voyage review, participation in Trade meetings as required.

The job holder will be responsible for ensuring proper operations of voyages according to company's Voyage Execution principles.

The job holder will ensure that the company’s policies and procedures are followed by all operational staff within his area of responsibility and implement any changes or addition as may be decided by Senior Management.

The jobholder will be responsible for supplier management within his area of activity, including all voyage related cost elements .He/ she will coordinate all supplier related activities as appropriate and necessary with the procurement department, whilst managing and coordinating any supplier management/ negotiation activities which may be undertaken by staff based in the local offices.

The job holder can be assigned operating responsibilities as required, example cover during vacation periods, spot trades etc. Some travel to attend port operations, vessels and supplier meetings will be required

The job holder will prepare reports, participate in seminars or other internal events, including crew training as may be necessary.
