Full job description

We are seeking a passionate, creative, and engaging Part-Time Teacher to deliver the Media Analysis and Film Production modules for our Foundation Year (Pre-University Foundation) programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting lessons, guiding students through both theoretical and practical learning, and creating an interactive classroom environment that supports students' academic and creative development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver lessons for the Media Analysis and Film Production modules in accordance with the academy's curriculum.
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and assessments.
  • Guide students in understanding media concepts, film analysis, and practical film production techniques.
  • Facilitate classroom discussions, practical activities, and project-based learning.
  • Assess students' coursework, assignments, projects, and presentations in a timely and fair manner.
  • Provide academic guidance and constructive feedback to support students' learning and creative development.
  • Maintain accurate student attendance and assessment records in accordance with the academy's policies.
  • Perform any other academic or administrative duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Film Studies, Media Studies, Communications, Digital Media, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in teaching, training, media production, filmmaking, content creation, or related fields is preferred.
  • Industry practitioners with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of media analysis, film production, and visual storytelling.
  • Good communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.

  • Passionate about teaching and mentoring students.
  • Creative, engaging, and able to inspire students through both theory and practical learning.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Ability to relate industry practices to classroom teaching.

Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
