Full job description

We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a background in Fine Arts and a minimum of 1 year of teaching experience. This role involves leading Saturday morning classes for students, fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and creativity through art.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement engaging art lesson plans that align with our educational philosophy and objectives.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and exploration.
  • Provide guidance on various art techniques and methods to students, catering to different skill levels and age groups (3yo to 16yo).
  • Encourage critical thinking and creativity through hands-on art projects and discussions.
  • Provide constructive feedback and assessments to students on their artwork and progress.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to enhance the overall curriculum and student experience.
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, ensuring all materials and tools are available and properly used.
  • Working Hours: 1030am to 12pm (Saturdays, except Public Holiday)
  • Location: Our Tampines Hub

Qualifications:

  • Background in Fine Arts or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of various art techniques and mediums.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for teaching and fostering creativity in young learners.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students in their artistic endeavors.
  • Availability to teach on Saturday mornings (1030am to 12pm, hours may be added depending on new classes)
