Job Description
The Yeow Laboratory at the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore (CSI), National University of Singapore, is seeking an outstanding and highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to lead mechanistic research in areas including ubiquitin biology, chromatin and gene regulation, molecular immunology, mitosis and genome stability.
The successful candidate will take intellectual and experimental ownership of a project within the laboratory’s broader research programme ( https://csi.nus.edu.sg/researcher/peteryeow/) . The specific direction of the project will be shaped by their expertise and strengths.
Candidate profile
Applicants should have:
- A PhD, or be close to completing a PhD, in cancer biology, cell biology, molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry, genetics or a related discipline.
- At least one substantive first-author or co-first-author original research paper arising from their PhD research that has been published or accepted for publication.
- Clear evidence of intellectual and experimental ownership of a research project.
- The ability to formulate mechanistic questions and design experiments that distinguish between competing hypotheses.
- Strong experimental, organisational, communication and collaborative skills.
Applicants from adjacent fields who wish to bring complementary expertise to the laboratory are also encouraged to apply. Experience in bioinformatics or in the analysis of genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic or imaging datasets would be advantageous.
