Job Details:

• Contract Duration: 1 year
• Location: near to MRT Novena
• Working Hours: 8:00am to 5:30pm OR 9:00am to 6:30pm OR 9:30am to 7:00pm (Monday - Friday)

The Laboratory Assistant will support the pre-analytical phase of the laboratory testing cycle and work closely with the team to ensure smooth operations at the laboratory specimen reception station.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage the acceptance and rejection of specimens, ensuring compliance with laboratory protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Identify temperature- or time-sensitive specimens and ensure timely processing in accordance with laboratory reception procedures
• Perform data management duties, including processing surveillance forms/records and data entry into laboratory information systems
• Coordinate specimen reception activities, including inventory management, vendor coordination, and distribution of supplies to healthcare providers and outbreak teams
• Support specimen transfers in compliance with institutional SOPs
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
