Freelance Photography Assistant (Early Childhood/Kindergarten)

Overview: We are looking for an energetic, patient, and proactive Photography Assistant to help capture the magic of kindergarten photo days. Your primary role is to be the "second pair of eyes" and the "energy lead," ensuring children are comfortable, posed correctly, and smiling while the lead photographer manages the technical shots.

Key Responsibilities:

• Child Engagement: Actively engage with children aged 2–6 to keep them focused, happy, and looking toward the camera.
• Posing & Grooming: Help adjust hair, straighten uniforms, and guide children into natural poses for both individual and group shots.
• Set Management: Assist with setting up lighting, backdrops, and props, and ensuring the "waiting area" stays organized and calm.
• The "Hype" Support: Use humor, toys, or gentle guidance to help shy children feel confident and ready for their portrait.

Requirements:

• Natural Rapport with Kids: You should genuinely enjoy working with young children and be comfortable being high-energy or silly to get the right reaction.
• Extreme Patience: A calm demeanor is essential for handling restless groups or children who may be nervous about the camera.
• Proactive Attitude: Ability to anticipate the photographer’s needs (e.g., swapping a battery or adjusting a reflector) without being asked.
• Reliability: Punctuality is non-negotiable, as we work around strict school schedules.
