Full job description

We are looking for a committed and safety-conscious Contract Technician to support production operations in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing production activities in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and Good Documentation Practice (GDP) requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform production activities in accordance with approved SOPs, GMP and GDP requirements.
  • Receive, inspect and stage raw materials and intermediate materials for production.
  • Carry out material movement, dispensing, sampling, filter inspection, material charging, offloading, drum packing and milling operations.
  • Ensure materials are handled, transferred and stored safely and accurately.
  • Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe production environment.
  • Complete all required production documentation accurately, including:
  • Manufacturing instructions
  • Cleaning records and instructions
  • Manual operation records
  • Batch and production documentation
  • Ensure proper communication and handover of work during shift changes.
  • Comply with all safety, quality and environmental requirements.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Shift Supervisor after obtaining the necessary training and qualifications.

Requirements

  • NITEC, Higher NITEC or equivalent qualification. Candidates with relevant production or manufacturing experience are preferred.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, chemical or manufacturing industries will be an advantage.
  • Able to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and public holidays, when required.
  • Physically fit to perform manual work, including lifting, carrying, shifting and transferring materials and chemicals.
  • Comfortable working in a production or manufacturing environment while complying with PPE and safety requirements.
  • Able to follow written procedures and work instructions accurately.
  • Good teamwork, communication and willingness to learn.
  • Responsible, reliable and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
