Psychologist (Crime Psychology)

Duration: 1 Year Contract (1 Headcount)

Near to Novena MRT, Up to $5.2K

Role Overview

You will support psychological research, assessment, and evaluation work focused on scam victims and crime‑related interventions. The role contributes to evidence‑based crime prevention strategies and victim support, with a strong emphasis on research, data analysis, and trauma‑informed practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design and review of scam assessment and victim support programmes.

  • Develop programme criteria, evaluation frameworks, and outcome measures.

  • Design and administer research tools such as interviews, questionnaires, and databases.

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative data transcription, cleaning, and analysis.

  • Prepare technical reports, academic papers, and presentation materials for training and briefings.

  • Support trauma‑informed approaches in victimology and policing‑related work.

  • Assist with training and assessment activities as required.

  • Perform other duties assigned by the team.

Requirements

  • Degree in Psychology or a related field.

  • Relevant experience in psychology, behavioural science, research, or applied forensic/victim support work.

  • Strong research and project management experience.

  • Good knowledge of statistics and proficiency with statistical software.

  • Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methods.

  • Strong written and spoken English, with good analytical and communication skills.

  • Ability to work with sensitive populations and handle confidential information.

  • Knowledge of trauma‑informed approaches is an advantage.
