Job Summary
You will lead daily recycling yard operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and accurate inventory management while coordinating with teams and supervising workers to support smooth metal scrap processing and business planning.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily recycling yard operations including loading, unloading, segregation, weighing, and storage of metal scrap materials across multiple Singapore locations
Monitor and enforce site safety, housekeeping, and operational efficiency in compliance with workplace safety standards
Coordinate the movement of incoming and outgoing materials by collaborating with trading and logistics teams
Track inventory levels and accurately report material movement using internal stock-tracking systems
Supervise and guide a team of general workers to maintain productivity and discipline on-site
Liaise with transporters, contractors, and relevant agencies to ensure smooth operational flow
Conduct routine inspections of equipment and infrastructure, escalating maintenance needs promptly
Maintain daily updates of available stock and communicate effectively with the office team
Submit daily stock reports to management to support accurate inventory tracking and business planning
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in any field
2–5 years of relevant experience in recycling plants, scrapyards, or industrial operations
Hands-on knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metal grades
Experience operating recycling machines such as shredders and shears
Familiarity with scrap processing equipment and basic logistics coordination
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or stock-tracking systems
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills demonstrated through managing teams and resolving operational issues
Self-motivated, physically fit, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment
