Job Description

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Restaurant Cashier to manage daily billing transactions, process customer payments, maintain accurate financial records and support the smooth operation of our restaurant.

Job Scope & Responsibilities

Handle daily cashier operations, including cash, NETS, credit card, PayNow and other electronic payments.

Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system to process customer orders, payments and receipts.

Ensure accurate billing, payment collection and transaction records.

Perform daily cash reconciliation and prepare end-of-day sales reports.

Maintain records of cash collections, refunds, discounts and payment discrepancies.

Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure accurate customer orders and billing.

Handle customer enquiries regarding menu pricing, payments and invoices.

Assist in maintaining daily sales records and financial documentation.

Monitor payment discrepancies and report irregularities to restaurant management.

Support takeaway, delivery and online order payment processing.

Prepare cashier shift reports and submit daily transaction summaries to management.

Maintain confidentiality of customer payment information and company financial records.

Assist with basic administrative duties and operational reporting.

Ensure the cashier counter and payment equipment are clean, secure and properly maintained.

Follow company cash handling policies, customer service standards and internal control procedures.

Job Requirements

Minimum secondary education or equivalent.

Previous experience in restaurant cashiering, retail billing or customer service preferred.

Familiarity with POS systems and electronic payment processing.

Basic computer knowledge and numerical accuracy.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Ability to maintain accurate transaction records.

Responsible, organised and able to work independently.

Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays according to the work schedule.
