About the role

JING is an elevated hotpot and grill buffet at KINEX, where every diner gets their own individual hotpot alongside a communal grill and a buffet they select from themselves — broths and marinades crafted in-house, in a warm, inclusive space built for every guest at the table. You'll run your own section, guiding guests through a format many are meeting for the first time and owning their experience from the greeting to the bill.

What you'll do

• Welcome guests, manage table assignments efficiently, and guide diners through the hotpot, grill and buffet concept
• Maintain confident knowledge of our signature broths, marinades, cuts of meat and ingredient sourcing, including Mala heat levels, so you can recommend and explain with ease
• Set up hotpots, manage broth top-ups, and orient guests to the buffet
• Brief guests on safe use of the grill and hotpot before they begin cooking
• Pace the meal and check in on your tables — attentive without hovering
• Handle dietary and allergen questions with precision, always confirming with the kitchen rather than assuming
• Take orders and process payments on the POS, including à la carte add-ons, split bills and cash handling
• Introduce JING Circle, our membership programme, and sign guests up
• Handle guest feedback and concerns early and directly, escalating when needed
• Prepare the dining area for service — setting tables, restocking service stations, keeping your section clean and organised, and completing opening and closing duties
• Work closely with the kitchen on orders, timing and special requests

What we're looking for

• Experience in F&B or a customer-facing role is preferred
• A positive, energetic and professional manner, with genuine care for guests
• Clear, warm communication in English
• Calm and efficient under pressure, through a fast-paced service
• Reliable and flexible, and willing to help colleagues across any front-of-house duty
• High standards of personal hygiene and presentation
• Accurate with numbers; familiarity with POS systems and cash handling an advantage
• Comfortable on your feet for a full shift, and working around hot broth, grills and hot equipment
• Available for weekends, evenings and public holidays
• An interest in the hotpot and grill dining experience
