Full job description

The Job

· Maintain cleanliness of the outlet promptly and according to proper sanitation standards

· Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as serviettes and silverware

· Attend to guests’ requests in a prompt and professional manner, serve glasses of plain water in the process

· Advise customers on menu choices and make recommendations

· Take orders from customers for food or beverages

· Serve food and beverages to guests in an unobstructing and professional manner

· Manage reservations and walk-ins

· Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems

· Respond to complaints promptly and take appropriate courses of service recovery actions to turn unhappy patrons into return guest

· Collect payments from customers

· Clean tables after customers have finished dining

Requirements

· Can converse in simple English

· Able to read basic menu in English

· Basic knowledge on taking food orders via technology devices (E.g. tablet)

· Must be prepared to perform shift duties and work on weekends and public holidays

Additional Information

· Workplace at Fairway Café (non-halal) at NSRCC Kranji (50 Neo Tiew Lane 3)

· Staff transport provided at Kranji MRT station

· 5-day work week (Mon to Sun)

· Rotating Shifts: 6:30am to 3:30pm, 6:45am to 7:45pm, 10:45am to 7:45pm

· Accommodation not provided

· Uniform and shift allowance (for 6:30am shift) provided
